All pictures were taken during our bike trip from Lhasa, Tibet to Kathmandu, Nepal September and October, 1998. We flew from Kathmandu to Lhasa and biked back on the main road. There isn't much traffic in this part of the world so there isn't a lot of pavement either. We were fortunate to take a side trip to the north side of Everest past the Rongbuk Monastery to the base camp of the British Expedition of 1928 led by George Mallory. Eventually, we dropped down to the lush valleys of Nepal from the high Tibetan plateau.
