Southern India, 1999

We traveled to Nagarhole National Park in southern India during April of 1999 to help a group of scientists investigating how elephants communicate with each other. They believe that elephants make ultra-low frequency sounds that are inaudible to humans but travel well (3-5 kms) through the earth to other elephants. Along the way, we were able to photograph animal activity in the park.
